She is survived by her children Michael (Pat) Molitor, Janice (Cory) Briggs, Linda (Tom) Thompson, and William (Sherrie) Molitor, all of DeWitt, MI, five grandchildren Lindsay (Nick) Jury, Greg (Angelica) Molitor, Michael (Megan) Thompson, Zack Molitor, Zoe Molitor, and five great grandchildren Sena, Vera, Violet, Jack and Estelle Kay.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, William “Bill” Molitor, her granddaughter Nora Molitor, and her sisters Geraldine King and Delores Hopkins.
Dorothy’s life was centered around caring for her family and friends. Music has always played an important role in Dorothy’s life. From singing in choirs in her earlier years to singing in the kitchen as she lovingly prepared countless meals and baked goods for her family and friends. Dorothy’s kitchen was the heart of the home. She also loved to crochet, knit and sew keepsakes for her family.
Over the span of their 72 years of marriage, Dorothy and her husband Bill lived a wonderful life. They spent many years making memories with beloved friends, enjoying their trips to Florida and their cottage, and most of all spending time at home with family. Dorothy’s warm and generous nature was a gift. Dorothy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She has left a legacy of love and kindness. The beautiful life she created for her family will live on eternally. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington St., Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 10:00 am until service at 12 noon.
