David Lee Weiler, age 64, of Haslett passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1958, to Norman and Doris Weiler. He married the love of his life, Kelly Weiler, on October 12, 1993 in Las Vegas. He graduated from Harry Hill High School, class of 1976. He worked for Michigan National Bank for 25 years and has worked with Meridian Magnesium for the last 15 years.
Dave had a love of sports being a forever loyal fan of Detroit, MSU (Go Green), and Bath Athletics. He was an avid golfer for several decades of his life with the last several years being joined by his son, son-in-law, and grandson. Off the green, he enjoyed fantasy football & NASCAR, playing cards, collecting sports memorabilia, going to concerts, and cruising around in his convertible.
Dave had a vast collection of music dating back to his teen years. His happy place was either at the ocean with family or Las Vegas with his wife. Dave fought cancer beginning in 2017 however, post radiation side effects took its toll on his health, but he lived life to its fullest to the very end. His family will remember him for his quick wit, loving nature, and thoughtful heart.
Dave is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kelly Weiler, his children Mickie (Christina) Weiler, Lindsay (Ryan) Kowalk, and Samuel David Weiler, his grandchildren Zachary, Kira, Amara, Tristan and MaKenna, his sister Sharon (Ronald) Littleton, brother-in-law Michael Wiggins, niece Jennifer Jenkins, nephew Joseph (Jessica) Littleton and his beloved dog Tiao aka “Hims”.
He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Doris Weiler, mother-in-law Donna Wiggins, and his beloved dog Ben aka “Doogus”.
