Daniel R. Jubb, 63, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, February 19, 2018 in Bath, Michigan. Dan was a lifelong hard worker and talented equipment operator. His generosity was limitless especially when it came to his family. His children and grandchildren were what he lived for. He owned his own excavating business, Jubb’s Excavating, for more than 25 years, and when he wasn’t working there, he lovingly tended “the farm”; the place he grew up with his many brothers and sisters and later, lived and worked as an adult. He loved his John Deere tractors, so much so that he painted his tools green and yellow rather than putting his name on them. He enjoyed taking his children to the Silver Lake sand dunes, hunting, racing dirt bikes, traveling to the St. Ignace Car Show, and going anywhere in the UP.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Jubb, his son, Daniel Jubb Jr., his granddaughter, Annabelle Jubb, his parents, and his sister, Debra Jubb.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Nathan (Stefanie), Nicholas (Amber), Levi (Ashley), and Tyler (Ericka); his grandchildren, Easton, Claire, Jenna, Owen, Logan, Raegan, Izabella, Matthew, and one on the way, Waylon Daniel; the mother of his children, Julie Jubb; his siblings, Kathy (Perry) Haines, Julie (Jack) Harris, Lois (Bernie) Coonrod, Joyce (Dennis) Reed, Sharon Jubb, Sandy (Scott) Beardsley, Sarah (Chad) Ouellette, Tom (Darlene) Jubb, Jerry (Katy) Jubb, John Jubb, Ronnie Jubb, and Dennis (Josie) Jubb; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be private, and a Celebration of Life will be held later this spring.
Donations may be made in Dan’s honor to the angels at Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel. Online condolences may be expressed at www.grdewitt.com.
