He went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 9, 2024, at home at the age of 79.
As a young boy his parents moved to Jackson from Niles, Michigan where he graduated from Jackson High School in 1962. He proceeded to his higher education beginning at Jackson Community College and completed it at Western Michigan University. He majored in business and mechanical engineering. He used his talents working for Clark Equipment, Melling Tool Company, and finally Troy Design during his tenure. He loved designing and enjoyed the challenge.
Craig was a long-time lover of automobiles, dune buggies, snowmobiles, and boats. Anything with an engine was of great interest. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, Great Lakes boating and exploring. He loved the State of Michigan. He and his wife, Karen spent 17 years traveling up and down the Coast of Lake Michigan, Upper Michigan, and Green Bay Wisconsin on their 32-foot Carver yacht. Every summer was an adventure. Most of all Craig loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending as many of their activities as possible.
Craig loved the Lord. He gave his life to Jesus in 1990 at Mount Hope Church where he served under Pastor Stan Hargis in the Youth Alive Ministry for many years. In 2004, he and Karen transitioned to their current church, House of Prayer, under Pastor David Cokonougher, where he served as the church bookkeeper and on the security team. He loved his church family and missed being in attendance over the last couple years.
Craig is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Joanne Robinson. His children: Kimberly Smith, Angela (Jeff) Faling, Brian Richardson, Shana (Jeff) Schneider, and Grandchildren: Kyle, Nicholas, Makyla, Jessica, Johsua, Ian, Teigan, Levi, and Leo. He also has two Great Grandchildren: Isaac and Elijah, and one more on the way.
