Mrs. Corinne Ellen Walter Davis

DeWitt, Michigan

Corinne died September 3, 2012 at the age of 85. Mrs. Davis was born October 18, 1926 in Owosso, Michigan to Chester and Marian (Barkley) Walter. She has been a resident of the DeWitt area since 1982 and attended Parker Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and making dolls. Corinne also loved flowers and animals and raised Abyssinian cats and Chihuahua dogs. She retired as a nurse’s aide from St. Lawrence Hospital and worked at Tender Care West for many years. Mrs. Davis was very well cared for by Barry and Pamela Walter for the last ten years of her life and by the staff of Addies’s Place for the last three years. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Robert Davis, daughter, Ruth Ann Bell and son, Michael Allen. Surviving are her daughters, Kathleen Morse and Kayla Sue (Karen Tompkins) Davis, several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, brother, Gene (Pat) Walter and sister, Betty King. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 11:00 am at Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 1902 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing, MI with Rev. D. L. Green officiating. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the local Humane Society, Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Avenue, Lansing, MI 48906 and the V.F.W. National Home for Children, 3573 S. Waverly Road, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827 in memory of Mrs. Davis.
