Clayton "Don" Jones

DeWitt

Passed away July 2, 2016 at the age of 78. Clayton was born October 5, 1937 in Ypsilanti, MI to Claude and Edith (Vellie) Jones. Don served our great country in the U.S. Army. He later retired from Lansing Federal Forge, and then drove school bus for Dean Transportation. He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, traveling, riding his motorcycle, golfing, woodworking, spending time with his family and friends and serving our Lord in many capacities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ebert and Terry, and son Daniel.

He is survived by the love of his life, wife Barb and his beloved spoiled dog, Brandy; children, Don, Jr, Debbie, Willie (Debbie), David; step-children Tim(Karri), Tammy (Cheryl), brother Fred (Jenny), sister Shirley; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many dear and much loved friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of St. Johns, 512 S. US 27, St. Johns, MI with Pastors Tim Knaus and Errol Jameson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2016, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI and also one hour prior at the church on Saturday.Those desiring may make contributions to the church in memory of Don.
