Brian was a joyful goofy loving father, son, brother, and grandfather. Always quick with a joke, a smiling chuckle, and a warm strong hug. Brian’s happy place was out in nature while listening to classic rock and blues music next to a campfire, only made better if it was with his family. Brian loved the outdoors, his pets, the Spartans, and just about anything that went boom, almost as much as he loved his grandchildren. Living in Michigan most of his life his hardworking spirit, and willingness to help his friends and family lead to many professions over the years making him a very handy man. But his main profession was truck driving. He was born as a twin in Youngstown Ohio to parents Ray and Marilyn Unger. As a child, Brian moved with his family to Michigan and graduated from Dewitt High school in 1982.
Brian was preceded in death by his father Ray Unger. Survived by his mother Marilyn Unger, his siblings Diane (Jeff) Blankenship, Sharon Lake, Don (Reanee) Unger, David (Annie) Unger, two daughters Ashley Stillman, Heather (Benjamin) Buyak, 4 grandchildren Robert Harshman, Andrew Harshman, William Buyak, Ethan Stillman, longtime partner Kelly Alexander, and many other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is being planned for a date later this year to properly remember the huge personality that was Brian. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in memory of Brian.
