Zofia Pierga

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Wladyslaw Pierga; her children, Wojciech “Al” (Ania Domagala-Pierga), Piotr (Kasia Labedzki), and Michael Pierga; her grandchildren, Kalina Pierga, Maksymilian Pierga, and Marek Pierga; her sister, Maria Ziemba; and her brother, Zdzislaw Kowal.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Czeslawa Lata; and her dearest lifelong friend and aunt, Helena Chroszcz.

A visitation for Zofia will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Oehler Funeral Home (2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016). A funeral service will occur on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church (1201 East Anderson Drive, Palatine, IL 60074) with entombment to follow immediately after at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery (1185 West Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL 60067).
