Teresa Sandra Jacoby, affectionately known as Sandy, passed away on September 10, 2023 . She was born on May 27, 1945, to her loving parents, Anton Ernst and Mary Moffett. Sandy was the beloved spouse of Peter Klaus Jacoby and the devoted mother of Thomas and wife Solie, Laura and husband Dale, and Jonathan and wife Alicia. Her legacy extended to nine cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Sandy was a one-of-a-kind soul who brightened the lives of those around her with her hilarious sense of humor. Not only was she a fantastic storyteller, but she could shoot you a look from across the room and have you in stitches. Beyond her wit, Sandy was known for her unwavering loyalty, trustworthiness and compassion. Peter saw all these qualities and more and secured his infinite place in her life on August 22nd of 1964 when the two were married at St. Luke's in Chicago. The couple blissfully danced and traveled their way through the next 59 years.
Sandy was deeply committed to her faith and actively involved in the Lutheran church. Her strong faith was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. Despite facing various health challenges, it was her unwavering faith along with Peter's undying devotion that made her so resilient. She remained an extraordinary wife, mother and role model to all who were fortunate to have her in their lives.
A memorial service to celebrate Sandy's life will be held on September 30th, 11:00 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 100 School Street, Mt. Prospect IL 60056. In honor of Sandy's spirit, we invite you to join us not in mourning, but in laughter and sharing.
