To the family of Russell C. Smith.  
As I have spent years researching the Smith/Guenther family line, I was saddened to come across the obituary for Russell.  Russell's father and my grandmother (Anna Mae Smith Guenther) along with Grace Smith Kohler and Byron Smith were siblings living between Palmyra and Rochester.

He made the world a better place.  Russ and his ever present smile will be missed.

Lana and I were shocked beyond belief when we learned of Russ's passing.  Russ was a very close friend to both of us and we recall many wonderful times together.  Russ and I were good buddies in high school and reconnected many years later.  Gone too soon and too young.  Our condolences to Russ's family.  May God bless you.

I was heart broken to hear about the passing of Russ. I could never express how grateful I was towards Russ, for taking in my little sister after our father died. My deepest condolences go out to the entire family. He was a one of best people I've ever met.

Russ was friend thru high school. A great softball player, and so much fun to be with. His smile was contagious. He was a genuinely good human being. I'm going to miss 'Smitty'.

Russ the world has lost a wonderful person.  You have been a fantastic neighbor to my Wife Tomasita and her family.  I know a piece of Nilsa's heart went with you. I loved Russ Smith. He was a gentle, warm, loving friend. Always concerned about how his sister and mom were doing. Would do anything for anyone. What a wonderful person Russ was to grow up with in my high school days. Always greeted me with a hug and his big smile and those DIMPLES! Loved visiting him when he lived by South Park. God bless the Smith Family in this difficult time. Russ will surely be missed.

I have had the privilege of working with Russ for over 20 years.  Russ was a true character...combining technical knowledge and skill with great wit and wisdom.  He always had something clever, or at least sarcastic, to say.  I will miss him greatly.  God bless.

They say when you loss a family member you loss a part of yourself. Even though it been along time since we have seen each other you have not been far from my thoughts. I will always remember sitting on the front porch of the house and seeing you drive by and you giving us a hello honk. and the holidays at grandmas house. I have lost a cousin but you have made me remember all those special time. Aunt Joyce remember you are loved by many regardless of the distance.

Russ was such a friendly person, and would help anyone that was in need.  He was such a hard worker - what a shame he didn't get more time to enjoy the fruits of his labor.  We will miss him, he really defined the term "neighbor".  Marilyn Munton
