Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Lucille Donovan; loving father of Ralph (Ramona) Donovan, Kenneth (Cheryl) Donovan and Elizabeth Grabowski; cherished grandfather of Jeffrey, Jay, David, Crystal (Chris), Craig (Julia), Abbi, Bridget and the late Jarrett; adored great grandfather of Bentley, Dylan, Ryder, Chase, Violet and Wade.
Ralph served 8 years in the U.S. Marines and fought in the Korean War. He later worked 40 years for the Milwaukee Railroad and Metra as a Locomotive Engineer and was a long time resident of Des Plaines; where he raised his family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 8th, 2019 from 3pm-8pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (corner of Northwest Hwy./Rt.14 and Rand Rd.), Des Plaines. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 9th at 10am at Oehler Funeral Home. Interment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Veteran’s Administration.
