Mary Kay Fischer, 80, passed away peacefully Friday, February 16th, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born March 7, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Katherine (nee Bayer) Yaccino and late John Yaccino, Sr. She was the sister to her late brother John Yaccino Jr.
Mary Kay was a devoted wife to Paul Fischer and spent 59 wonderful years together. A loving mother to Barb (nee Fischer) Maglio, Janet (nee Fischer) Lucy, partner-in-law Kerry Colpitts, and the late Joseph Fischer. Grandmother to Zachary (Kaylin) Lucy, Bailey (nee Lucy) (Sam) Aleksander, Brianna Maglio, late Angelo Maglio, and late Mathew Maglio. Sister-in-law & Aunt to the large Fischer Family. Fun and fabulous friend and neighbor to many. Mary Kay loved her dogs and will be missed by the dog that was always at her side, Finn and her Grand-dog Kane.
Painting, crafting, travel, cooking, and gardening were Mary Kay's passions. A huge Elvis fan. She was a member of The American Legion Post 974 Women’s Auxiliary - Franklin Park Illinois, The Prospect Heights Garden Club, Windy Brushes, NWTA , President of Ehart Girls, The Red Hat Society, and President of American Legion Post 36 Women’s Auxiliary.
