Karen L. Jasionowski

Karen L. Jasionowski of Des Plaines, born in Chicago on December 15, 1942. She was a Chicago Public School teacher for 28 years, teaching for many years at the Brentano Elementary School; she passed away on December 27 in Park Ridge. Karen was married for 28 years to her beloved husband John; dear step-mother of John Jr., Mary (Nick) Monahan and Susan (Alex) Watts; loving grandmother of Nicholas Jr., Sofia and Bogdan. She was very active with the Des Plaines Historical Society, the Friends of the Des Plaines Library and the Red Hat Club. Visitation will be held Friday, January 1, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Hwy. / Rt. 14 at Rand Rd.) Des Plaines, where family and friends will gather on Saturday at 9:30 am for prayers prior to going to St Mary Church, Prairie at Pearson Sts., Des Plaines for an 11:00 am Mass.
