Karanfila Stoyanovich

Karanfila Stoyanovich peacefully fell asleep in Jesus on April 2, 2024 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born in Serbia on September 28,1932 to Damjan and Milica Okolisan. She married her husband Svetozar Stoyanovich on January 28,1951 and was blessed with two daughters and three granddaughters. Karanfila was a caring and devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was never idle and always had things to do such as taking care of her family or helping her husband with his business. She enjoyed going fishing with her husband, the company of her friends, and especially loved spending time with her granddaughters. Karanfila was a strong believer and remained faithful with the strong conviction that she will see Jesus on the day of resurrection. Mom, you will be missed.

Karanfila was survived by her two daughters Branislava (Dragan) Radivojevich and Susan (Wesley) Cooper, her brother Rumunjel (Dragica) Okolisan, sister Aorika (Sima) Grahovac, Granddaughters Esther (Zack) Radivojevich Dedic, Lydia (Alex) Peric and Kristina (Andy) Radivojevich Dill, and nieces Belinda Okolisan and Firuca Rusovan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two nephews Anthony Okolisan and Denny Rusovan.

The visitation and service will be on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with services beginning at 6:00 pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 10am to 11am at Oehler Funeral Home followed by a graveside service from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Ridgewood Memorial Park, 9900 North Milwaukee Avenue, Des Plaines, IL 60016
