Jong Man Lee

We are heartbroken to announce the death of my father, Jong Man Lee. He passed away peacefully at the age of 85.

Jong was a loving husband and father. As a physician he healed the sick and spread love and joy to so many people. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Chong Shin Lee and his two beloved daughters, Grace and Diane. In addition to his wife and his daughters, he is survived by 1 brother and 4 sisters in Korea, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jong earned his medical degree from Kyungpook National University in Taegu, Korea. He was an Otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat) physician. As a practitioner, he served the Beloit community through Beloit Health System for over 30 years.

Jong was an avid golfer and enjoyed the fresh air and exercise that golfing allowed him. When he wasn’t on the course, he was a student of the game. Jong was an excellent baseball player in college and continued to be a baseball fan throughout his life. We thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers as we celebrate the life of an amazing man, husband and father.

A celebration of Life Service for Jong Man will be held Monday, October 16th, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, Illinois 60016
