John A. Marchak

John A. Marchak 77, of Des Plaines formerly of Chicago was born on October 27, 1945 to the late John and late Gladys J. (nee Gilbertson) Marchak and passed away on December 8, 2022. John was the beloved husband of Cathy (nee Hanson) Marchak; loving father of Melissa (Mark) Hensley and Michael Marchak; devoted grandfather of Mason, Maxwell and Madison Hensley; dear brother of Nancy (Carl) Huett, John (Karla) von Lehe, Caryl (Richard) Shiewe, Marilyn (late Richard) Shontz and Elizabeth (Philip) Heller; caring step- son of the late Emil Von Lehe; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.

John was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. John was a warehouse manager for several companies and worked part time at Jewel for 58 years.

Memorial Visitation Saturday March 25, 2023 from 12pm until time of the memorial service 2pm at Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St Des Plaines, IL. 60016.
