Joan Fredricksen

Joan Fredricksen, nee Tobolik, age 90, of Niles was the youngest of 9 children born to the late Otto and Mary (nee Pasteka) Tobolik and passed away with her loving family by her side on February 22, 2023. Joan was a devoted wife and mother, who welcomed all with an open heart.

Joan was married to her beloved husband Dick Fredricksen for 72 years; loving mother of Coreen (Rick) Boenzi, Laurel Huebner, Lynn (Stuart Pollack) Fredricksen, Leslie (Joe) Ambrose, and the late Rand Fredricksen; devoted grandmother of Jason (Shawnette Borden) Boenzi, Dean (Lea) Boenzi, David (Vanessa Romanek) Boenzi, Rachel (Michael Miller) Boenzi, Mark (Ann) Fredricksen, Sandra (Karly DeFries) Fredricksen, Craig Fredricksen, Kate Huebner, David (Brandy) Pollack, Alice Pollack, Joe Pollack, Audrey (Zacharey Morgan) Ambrose, Christina Ambrose, and Katherine Ambrose; cherished great grandmother of 14 and great great grandmother of 3.

Visitation Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St Des Plaines, IL 60016. Family and friends will gather Monday, February 27, 2023 at St. Norbert Catholic Church 1809 Walters Ave Northbrook, IL 60062 for a viewing from 9:00 AM until time of funeral mass 10:00 AM.
