Ingeborg grew up in Magdeburg and in 1950 while walking down a street she saw Wilfried. They both stopped, looked at each other and it was love at first sight. They married in 1951 and rarely did anything without being together, always holding hands anywhere they went. Immigrating to America in 1959, they decided to call Chicago “home”. Wilfried’s passion was playing the organ, and Ingeborg loved sitting and listening for hours while sewing, knitting or crocheting, which she loved doing. She also loved to cook and bake. Her meals never disappointed, and when you smelled her baking, your mouth would start to water. Christmas will not be the same without her pounds and pounds and pounds of cookies.
She always had a smile for everyone and always received smiles in return. She will be missed by many.
Ingeborg will be lovingly remembered by her son, Henning (Yvonne), grandchildren, Paul (Cassie), Phil (Joanna), Pete (Britt) and great grandchildren, Hunter, Leo, Sloan.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Wilfried P Tschammer, sister Ursula (Hesse) Kresse.
