Erasmo Garcia

Erasmo Garcia, 59, of Des Plaines. Loving son of Elena (nee Luna) and the late Pedro Garcia. Devoted brother of Iliana (Jose Espino), Martin (Candy), Rosendo, Art (Nuray Uysaloglu), Marlen (Jim Murray) and Jo Ann (Adam Higdon). Beloved uncle of Nicole (Nick), Joey, Lexi, Jonny, Olivia, Reese, Gunnar, Gavin, Thomas, Max, Jack and Gabby. He was adored by relatives and friends in the U.S. and Mexico.

Erasmo enjoyed oldies music and candle making. Airplanes and severe weather fascinated him. He chased the stars and storm clouds. A blue sky with plenty of sunshine and a mild temperature made his day. Before the internet came along, he recorded weather data by hand — just for the fun of it. Meteorology was his hobby and passion. His greatest devotion was to God. Erasmo held out his hands to all. He extended kindness to strangers and friendship to all who needed it. "For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die. Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time."

Family and friends will gather from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL. 60016. Funeral services and interment will be private.
