Dr. Diane Lee Defenbaugh DVM

Dr. Diane Lee Defenbaugh, DVM, 60, of La Mesa, CA, formerly of Des Plaines was born October 5, 1954 in Chicago to the late Ralph Lee and Kathryn M. (nee Thornton) Defenbaugh and passed away suddenly August 13, 2015. Diane was a 1972 graduate of Maine West High School in Des Plaines. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois - Chicago Circle in 1975 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois - Champaign Urbana in 1979. Diane was the loving mother of the late Dr. Kathryn Lee Defenbaugh, DVM; cherished sister of Ralph (Deborah) Defenbaugh, John Defenbaugh and Patricia (Mark) Malartsik and dear aunt of Kristin (Zach) Kutch, Kelsey, Kylie, Angela and Daniel Defenbaugh and Katelyn, Allison and Megan Malartsik. Visitation will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 9:00 AM until time of the funeral service at 10:00 AM at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 1095 E. Thacker Street, Des Plaines. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Leader Dogs For The Blind, 1039 S. Rochester Road, Rochester, Michigan 48307 appreciated.
