Thomas Wayne Royer

DeQuincy, Wayne Royer, 67, passed away on Wednesday, May, 29, 2013 in his residence.

A native of DeQuincy, Mr. Royer loved football and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and also loved watching Nascar. He was an Allstate Running Back in 1963 for the DeQuincy Tigers. He was known as a kind, generous, loving father and friend to many.

Survivors include his wife Sharon Irwin Royer; son, Darren Royer and wife Heather; daughter, Kim Goodman and husband Dean; daughter-in-law, Wendi Royer; sister, Joyce Carlin and husband Tommy; 10 grandchildren, Stef, Claudia, Nyla, Mason, Kendal, Winston, and Canyon Royer, Josh and Jake Goodman and Candice Davis. He was preceded in death by his son Steve Royer; parents, Horace James and Dorothy Rion Royer; and brother, Jimmy Royer.

Visitation will begin on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 4:00 until 9:00p.m. in Hixson Snider Funeral Home Chapel with a Memorial Service at 7:00p.m. The Rev. Alvin Dale Smith will officiate. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
