Sylvester Clark

DeQuincy - Sylvester "Buddy" Clark, 76, died Monday October 10, 2011 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Starks, La. and had lived in DeQuincy. He loved to collect old marbles and arrowheads. He also loved to build and take his grandkids fishing.

Mr. Clark played Solitare, dominos and rummy for hours. He loved to take drives and loved life in general. Also he was a great carpenter, he could build anything. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Maybelle, brother Lecester and granddaughter Terri.

Survivors include his wife Vivian Clark; two sons, Wilbur Clark and wife Robin of Jasper Tx. and Danny Clark of DeQuincy; three daughters, Terri Nash and husband Dale of Simsboro, La, Marie Burnitt and husband Eb of DeQuincy, and Cindy Stanley and husband Glenn of Starks; two sisters, Delois Fountain and husband Bill of Starks, La and Mary Ruth Adams and husband Henry of Lumberton, Tx.; one brother Lavelle Clark and wife Jean of Vidor, Tx; 12 grandchildren, Casey Nash, Willie Clark, Chase Nash Billy Clark, David Doyle, Joey Burnitt, Chance Nash, Ashley Clark, Jade Burnitt, Payton Stanley, Clayton Stanley and Rayne Clark; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday October 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Clark Cemetery in Starks, La. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
