Mr. Hyatt was a member of Hargrove Baptist Church. He was a US Army Veteran who received Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, RVN Campaign Medal, Air Medal (1st Award), Overseas Bar (1), Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm(unit}, MM Rifle M16 Qualification Badge.
Survivors include his sons, Rodney Hyatt II and Billy Hyatt; daughters, Tina Earls and Kathy Weber; brother, William Hyatt; sisters, Kay Alston and Pat Fields; grandchildren, Tristan Hyatt and Rejinia K. Hyatt.
His funeral will be 10am Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home. The Rev. Alvin Smith will officiate.
