Peyton was born on Easter Sunday, April 19, 1981. He graduated from DeQuincy High School where he was a member of the Tiger Band and the wrestling team. He attended McNeese State University.
Peyton was an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad having previously worked as a Safety Supervisor at Motiva and a scaffold builder at Louisiana Pigment.
Peyton is survived by his mother, Jody Yellott; his fiance', Brittany Evans; father, Kirk Yellott (Suzanne); God Daughter, Annabelle Powers; along with a large family and friends from all walks of life.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dallas Yellott; grandparents, Sadie and Jack Hyatt and Mary and Jerry Yellott; two special aunts, Stephanie Hines and Jane Blackman; along with his uncle, Jack Hyatt, Jr.
Peyton was a loving son and loyal friend who never met a stranger. He had a determined nature and would never give up on anyone or anything. He was an A+ mechanic for anything with a motor on land or water. He loved driving his boat on the West Fork, riding 4-wheelers, playing pool, and hunting. He had special love for his Grannie's peanut butter and honey sandwiches and his fur babies, Reese and Garfield. He was Christian by faith.
A Celebration of Peyton's life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Wayne Neyland officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
