Michiyo "Carolyn" Cooley

Michiyo "Carolyn" Cooley, 72, of Ragley, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at her residence. She was born to her late parents, Maxie and Chizuko Clark on December 3, 1949 in Okinawa, Japan. She enjoyed sewing, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and taking care of others.

She is survived by her two sons, Heath Chadwick Cooley of Ragley, Louisiana and Marlon Donald Cooley (Christina Leann Smoot) of Pottsboro, Texas; brothers, Mike Clark of Orange, Texas, John and Charlsie Clark of Shelbyville, Texas, Luke Clark of Shelbyville, Texas; sisters, Lisa Stephens of Shelbyville, Texas, Charlotte Griffith of Lufkin, Texas, Maxine Clark of Orange, Texas, Jamie Bragg of Huxley, Texas, and Connie Smith of Huxley, Texas; grandchildren, Alisa Mikayla Cooley, Marleena Rose Cooley, Sarah Nicole Cooley, and Haley Denise Cooley.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Herman Cooley of Ragley, Louisiana; along with one son, Christopher Earl Cooley of Ragley, Louisiana.

A Celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, Louisiana on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 am, with Bro. Jim Fisher officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Hagar Cemetery in Ragley, Louisiana.
