Dr. Michael William DuBose (“Mike”), 69, of Ragley, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at his residence. He was born to his late parents, Sidney and Henrietta DuBose on December 25, 1952 in Port Arthur, Texas.
Mike was raised in Nederland, Texas and graduated from Lamar University in 1975 and the School of Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1979. He practiced dentistry in Moss Bluff for nearly 25 years and was an active member of the community and his church. He had a passion for gunsmithing and was always at his happiest spending time and hunting with his family in Ragley.
He is survived by his son, Michael Christopher DuBose (Collette) of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Danny DuBose (Jackie) of Scott, Louisiana and John DuBose (Barbara) of Ragley, Louisiana; along with his three grandchildren, Scarlett DuBose, Mikey DuBose, and Gage DuBose, all of Houston, Texas.
Mike is preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane DuBose; along with both his parents.
A Celebration of Dr. DuBose’s life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, Louisiana on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 2:00pm, with Rev. Alan Weishampel officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning at 12:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Squyres Methodist Cemetery in Ragley, Louisiana.
Services are entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home.
