Margaret Ann Templin, 78, of DeQuincy, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her residence. She was born to her late parents, Marvin and Odessa Pierce on December 6, 1944 in Ford Community (Gary), Texas. She enjoyed her flower garden, gardening, and sewing. She was able to make her children's clothing when they were growing up and would sew for anyone who needed her services, including: cheer uniforms, and prom dresses. She loved attending church and was dedicated to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lastly, she loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Templin; three daughters, Kim Brantley of Starks, Louisiana, Kelly Templin of DeQuincy, Louisiana; and Karla Wood (Billy) of Fields, Louisiana; brother, James Pierce (Karen) of Kilgore, Texas; sister, Barbara Butler of Burleson, Texas; two grandchildren, Kelsey Cooley and Kolton Wood; two great grandchildren, Rhemy Cooley and Kyndall Manuel; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; and her grandson, Kaleb Brantley.
A Celebration of Margaret's life will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church in DeQuincy, Louisiana on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm, with Bro. Jordan Doyle and Bro. John Andrews officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy, Louisiana.
