Jean Marie Wallace

She was a reference librarian for libraries in Louisiana and Texas. She loved animals and was an avid collector and history buff.

She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Mazilly and husband Ronald and Gay Ann Blagrave and husband Kenneth all of DeQuincy; nieces, Julie Mazilly Echegoyen and husband Hector of DeQuincy, Kimberly Verzwyvelt and husband Brent of The Woodlands, Tx., Kristi Knight and husband Jody of DeQuincy, Kasey Blagrave of DeQuincy, Kelli St. Clergy and husband Christopher of Lakewood, Co. and Kae Hammond and husband Jason of Fort Polk, La.; one aunt, JoAnn Burnett and husband Bobby of Shawnee, Ok.; Special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Ramon Castillo of Port Arthur, Tx.; nine great nephews and ten great nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents Leland and Dorothy Wallace.

Her funeral service will be at 2pm Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Hixson Snider Funeral Home of DeQuincy. Visitation is Wednesday 5pm-8pm at the funeral home and will resume Thursday 8am until service time. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
