Dorothy Louisa Hyatt was born January 1, 1920 to Rufus & Eliza Spikes. She married the love of her life, Louia Getting Hyatt on June 1, 1935. Dorothy loved her God, her church and her family. She loved playing her guitar at church gatherings and with family. She had numerous other talents such as sewing, crocheting, tatting, drawing and painting.
Although Dorothy appeared frail, she was a strong, independent lady. She was non-wavering in her faith and beliefs. She was quiet, but had a quick wit. If you weren't paying attention you might miss it and it always came out when you least expected it. Dorothy's gift to our family was her faith, love and her talents.
