Born on March 2nd, 1932, he was a lifelong resident of DeQuincy, Louisiana. Mr. Yellott was retired from Firestone where he worked as an electrician for 40 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was very generous with both his time and expertise.
Precious husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, he leaves behind his wife of 33 years, JoAnn (Rowe) Yellott, his sons, Mike Yellott, Randall Allen, Tim Allen and John Allen; his daughters, Shelly Vidrine, Jayne Yellott, Jennifer Doyle, Peggy (Allen) Deinhardt, and Laura (Allen) Kelley; his brother Jerry Yellott, and his sister Margie Berryman; many grandchildren; and special close friends Roy Champagne, Johnny Brantley, Fred Pierce, Rusty and Layton Irwin, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Lorena (Sellars) Yellott, and granddaughter Britany Wendt.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November, 28, 2011 at Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Alvin Dale Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. til time of service.
