Betty Lou Edwards

Betty was born in Medora, Indiana and lived in DeQuincy. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a retired food service worker for DeQuincy Elementary after 22 years. She loved to garden, cook, and take care of family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always had a smile and a nice word for all she met and knew.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, David Edwards III; two daughters, Andrea Strickland and Jennifer Doyle all of DeQuincy, LA; three brothers, Ray Hall of Topeka, KS, Elmer Hall of North Vernon, IN and Bill Hall of Salina, KS; one sister, Evelyn Stout of North Vernon, IN; six grandchildren, Victoria, Cameron, Jarred, Matelynn, Chase and Cenly; 2 great-grandchildren, Sydni and Michael.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, David Matthew Edwards II and her parents, John and Mabel Hall.

Her Homegoing will be 2:00pm Tuesday, October 1, in Northside Baptist Church of DeQuincy. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00pm Monday at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home of DeQuincy and resume 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
