Yolanda T. Mauro

Yolanda T. Mauro, known to many as Yo, died on November 8, 2011. She was born on December,7, 1923 in Denver to Fiore and Maria Nicola (Olivieri) Testa. She graduated from North High School in 1942. Yolanda married Ernest R. Mauro on June 18, 1949 at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters: Kathy (husband, Art) Cole and Linda (husband, John) Graziano; a sister Christina LaGuardia; Sister-In-Law and Brother-In-Law Frank and Betty DeLuca; six grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa and Andrew Cole, and Gina, Adrianne, and Laura Graziano; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Angelina, Regina and Ann; and brothers Donald, George, Albert, Henry, and Frank.

Her life is remembered at a rosary, Friday, November 11, 2011, at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am both at the Church of the Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3060 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO 80222. There will be a reception at the Church following the Mass. She will Entombed at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO. Memorial Contributions may be made to Little Sister of the Poor, Denver, CO, Mother Cabrini Shrine, Golden, CO, or Regis University, Denver, CO.

Yolanda will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her and remembered most for her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren.
