Walter C. Green was one of ten children of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Green (deceased), He was born in Paducah, KY. After graduating from Lincoln High School he served in the U.S. Army. After being Honorably Discharged Walter moved to Chicago, IL where he worked as a service technician for Teletype. Being a man that paid attention to details and who loved working with his hands, he establishes himself as an asset to his company. Walter was diligent in his service to Teletype, very dependable, and showed exceptional work ethics. He retired many years ago and moved from Illinois to Denver CO where he opened his own laundry shop. Being a man who loved working with his hands he serviced his own washing machines and dryers. Even after he got out of the laundry business he continued to serve others as a handy man and carpenter. If it needed it to be fixed he could do it. If you needed it built he could do it.
On August 18, 1962 he married Faustina B. Green (deceased), in the last days of his life he stated that he had no regrets in marring her and that he would do it again if he had the opportunity.

Daughter: Francine Magett and her two sons
Grandchildren: James Magett and Kevin Magett.
Great Grandchildren: Anthony Magett, Marlene Magett, and Kearie Traske
Son: Mr. and Mrs. Darrell C. (Wanda) Porter and their five children.
Grandchildren: Serena Porter, Zachary Porter, Chase Porter, Wrazsanae Porter, and Dairyia, Porter
Great Grandchild: Makadah Byers
Son: Mr. and Mrs. Lester A. (Garfieldia) Porter and their four Children
Grandchildren: Jerome Porter, Tamilia Porter, Marcellus Porter and Joanna Porter
And a host of nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces and many dear friends
