Virginia B Foster was born on April 14, 1944 to Clark and Edith Isaacs in Vilas, North Carolina. She then resided for more than 35 years in Johnson City, TN, where she retired from Burlington Industries. She moved to Aurora, CO in 2000 to live with her family, where she was employed by A-1 Relocation and most recently was employed by The Comex Group (formerly Kwal Howells Inc) as a payroll specialist.
She is survived by her son Ed Foster, daughter in law Emily Foster and grandson Casey Wheeler.
She was a phenomenal cook who loved to cook for her family and friends. She is best known for her Thanksgiving Feasts, which are second to none. She was a die hard Elvis and NASCAR fan, especially Mark Martin.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious smile. Everyone that met her loved her that is just the special person that she was. She will be missed everyday, but will remain in our hearts forever.
Her friends at the Comex Group wrote a memorial for her that is being included, we know that everyone there meant a great deal to her:
For those of you who knew and loved Virginia (our friend “V”), she passed away this morning at her home with her family by her side. Virginia has fearlessly fought an unrelenting battle with breast cancer for the past 2 years never giving up. Virginia was never the type of person to say “I can’t”. With her head held high and that wonderful smile on her face, she always believed if there’s a will there’s a way and for two long years she pursued those beliefs.
Virginia adored her family and loved life and everything it had to offer.
With that wonderful Tennessee accent and constant good humor, you could not
help but love “V”. Especially when she would play her Elvis CD’s, (she
was his biggest fan), during the day. You couldn’t help but smile and maybe stand up and dance. Virginia was always willing to help anyone who asked with a smile. She was the proverbial cliché “She never had a bad thing to say about anyone” and she never did.
“V” will be dearly missed but she is no longer in pain. Good-bye Virginia – we love you!!!
