Tamara "Tammy" Cunningham died peacefully on August 9th, 2019 in the company of her family. The cause of death was cancer. Tammy leaves behind a legacy of service to people through her healing, life coach practice, Heart Intelligence and co-founding of the Cunningham Foundation with her husband Noel Cunningham. She also showed her heart through all her charitable endeavors; Project Pave, Quarters for Kids, Project Mercy, Pieces of Hope and Project C.U.R.E. Mayor Wellington Webb proclaimed February 23rd as Tammy Cunningham day for her strong commitment to children and their safety. She also taught Heart Math to children at various schools and worked in Donor Relations at Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners for suicide prevention.
Tammy was born October 18th, 1959, in Pueblo, CO to Lawrence Gomez and Mary Gomez. She graduated from Centennial High School of Pueblo, CO in 1977. She was certified Reiki Master, Heart Math Practitioner, Shamanic Practitioner. She was preceded in death by her son Anthony "Tony" Johnson, her mother Mary Gomez and husband Noel Cunningham. Tammy is survived by father Lawrence Gomez, sisters Doreen Shumake (Jim Shumake) Kimberly Phelps (Burt Phelps) Michelle Gomez nieces Tara McCray (Brian Blick), Tiffany McCray, Lauren Herbst (Brandon Herbst) Rhea Gomez, Jocelyn Gomez, Brittany Levy (Justin Levy) Stephanie Gomez, Amber Gomez, nephews Christopher Shumake (Amy Shumake) Justin Phelps (Kia Phelps) Neil Phelps and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held August 18th, 2019 at 4PM - 6PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery. Rosary Service August 18th, 2019 6PM-7PM Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery. Funeral Service August 19th, 2019 10:30AM- 11:30AM at Risen Christ Catholic Parish.
