Robert Witherell Ross (Bob), 89, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019. Bob was born on June 10, 1929 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to George Oscar Ross and Hattie Bell Querry Ross. Upon graduation from high school, Bob married Margaret Luella Snyder on December 13, 1947. He graduated from Tri State College in Angola, Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After college, the family returned to Ann Arbor and Bob began his 40 year career at Ford Motor Company. Bob was a typical father of the 1950 - 1960 era. He worked as an accountant at Ford. In the evenings he coached his sons in little league and supported his children in their other activities. Bob enjoyed doing simple home repairs and using power tools. The family owned, and Margaret operated, a Dairy Queen store and Bob helped with cleaning and other back room activities. They retired to Colorado in 1992. A life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in retirement Bob enjoyed working as an ordinance worker in the Denver Colorado Temple for 15 years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 71 years, Margaret, his sons Roger (Claudia), Roy (Betty), Richard (Karen), his daughter Lorraine, 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Bruce (1991), his son Ron (2005) and his great-grandson Connor (2007).
Bob was laid to rest at Olinger Hampden Memorial Garden on Saturday, January 26, 2019. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Havana Chapel, 6061 South Havana Street, on February 23, 2019, at 1PM.
