Robert W. Merrick

Robert W. “Bob” Merrick, 90 of Westminster, CO passed away on April 27, 2016. Bob was born in New Haven, CN but considered Kansas his home. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Following his discharge he attended and graduated from the University of Kansas in business administration. He was a Member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He married Jo Annette Morris in 1952, several years later they moved to Colorado where they have been residents of Westminster for 59 yrs.

Bob had spent 25 yrs in banking when he retired from United Bank of Denver. He then spent the next 25 yrs operating as Merrick Accounting Service.

Actively involved with several professional and civic organizations that included: Boy Scouts of

America, Bank Administration Institute, American Bankers Assoc., Westminster Rotary Club, Rky Mtn Arthritis Foundation, Elder in the Westminster Presbyterian Church and lifetime member of the Elks BPOE #2227. Interests included gardening, camping, traditional jazz, KU Basketball, spending quality time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by Jo, his wife of 64yrs; Children, Tim (Mary) Merrick, Susan Merrick and Martha

(Steve) Pleva; Grandchildren, Nathan (Megan) Leake, Toby Merrick, Jennifer (Rob) Prouty and

Bridget (Amadeo) Donofrio; Great-Grandchildren, Reagan Prouty and Dante Donofrio; Brother, Charles E. (Kathleen) Heath, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother, William W. Merrick.
