I'm unbelievably shocked and saddened to hear about Rob's passing.  Rob and I served in the US Navy FROM DAY 1.  We left the same day from Denver to boot camp.  Went through boot camp together in the Company and then went through CTM A school together in Pensacola, FL.  We had a blast and MANY, MANY, MANY laughs!   Being CT's at that time, we were land based, really never went upon a ship, but we did rent a deep sea fishing boat with a group of other seasoned Navy sailors once.  He and I got so sea sick!  We caught a LOT of fish and had a huge party & great fish fry!  
Wishing all your family the deepest condolences and sympathies!   He was a wonderful person and I'm sure that his memories will live on through his beautiful family!
BTW...he outranked me by 2 WEEKS and he never let me forget it!!  Typical Rob!   What a guy!

Sarah, so shocked and saddened to hear the news today of Rob's passing. Tom and Tamara reached us today after we returned from being abroad. We are so grateful that we got to reconnect with you, a Rob and the boys on the 4th. It was so great to have the gang back together, leaving us missing you guys even more, and never dreaming that would be our last visit with Rob. We can still see the boyish delight  as he scurried around lighting fireworks. He was so outrageously original.  We cannot imagine the pain and loss you and the boys are dealing with. Please let us know how we may support, you are already in our prayers.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Rob's passing. I only worked with him a little bit; however, he was smart, funny and someone I looked forward to saying hello when I saw him around the office. My thoughts and prayers go out for his family and friends.

So shocked and saddened to see this news.  I knew Rob through projects we shared, and his creativity, energy, and humor were an inspiration and a delight to me.  No problem could discourage him - he had the ability to laugh about small misfortunes and to see obstacles as chances to come up with new ideas, and he never hesitated to share his knowledge and time with others.  He and his family are in my thoughts.

I am so sorry to hear about Rob. Fun guy to work with, a man with a great gleam in the eyes. Always looking for the best solution to challenging problems. He will be sorely missed by those who worked with him. RIP - Rob.

I knew Rob long, long ago.  He had such a kind heart, and a sparkle in his eye that was shared with everyone. I am privileged to have known him.  My prayers and love to his family.
