Robert L. (Bob) Holt, born in Boise, Idaho on April 9, 1940 and a current resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Monday, May 1st, 2017 in Lone Tree, Colorado. Bob graduated from Englewood High School in Englewood, Colorado and then attended Regis College in Denver. He served in the Air Force for 7 years from 1957 to 1964. After his military service, Bob spent 32 years as an executive with Ameriprise Financial Services hiring and training advisors, running top-ranked offices in Colorado, Hawaii, and Nevada. He retired in 1996 to pursue private business consulting. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge through the Scottish Rite for over 40 years. His community involvement included serving on the Foundation Board of Mile Hi Church in Lakewood, CO. He was finishing a second term in 2017. He was also on the board of NTECH Properties, Inc., a landscape-changing patent company. He was an avid theatre-goer and loved golfing and travel. Family, family traditions and making a difference in the world were his true passions. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Beth) Holt (nee Voth); his children, Vonda Holt (daughter), Robert Holt, Jr. and Scott Holt (sons), Stephen Sanford (son in heart) and Kulin Strimbu (daughter in heart); his grandchildren - Brandon Holt, Craig Holt, Casey Holt, Cody Holt, Tylene Holt-Taylor, Alexander Mendoza, William Mendoza, Morgan Mendoza, Austin Holt, Christopher Sanford, Caleb Sanford, Cameron Strimbu, Ryan Strimbu, and Megan Strimbu; and 10 great-grandchildren - Cheyenne Holt, Sierra Holt, Lillian Taylor, Everly Taylor, and Paisley Taylor (great-granddaughters) and Cade Holt, Logan Holt, Mereck Epperson, Milo Epperson, and Mesa Carlone (great-grandsons) and his ex-wife Sally Taylor Holt Martin. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Holt, and his granddaughter, Tera Lewandowski. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 28th at 2:00 PM at the Mile Hi Church, 9077 W. Alameda Avenue, Lakewood, Colorado 80226. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mile Hi Church Foundation, 9077 W. Alameda Avenue, Lakewood, Colorado 80226 or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1275 East Fairfax Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103. Arrangements were handled by the National Cremation Society, 5060 E. Hampden Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80222.
