84, a 4th generation native of Colorado, passed away August 16, 2016. A visitation for Robert will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 6-8pm with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm, both at Olinger Hampden Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10am at Church of The Risen Christ in Denver, Colorado. Robert will be laid to rest with military honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado following his Mass.
Robert, also know as Bob or Bud, was proceeded in death by his six siblings. He was greatly loved and will be forever missed by his wife, Eileen, of almost 63 years; his four sons: Mike, Bob, Jim and Ron Dowling; his daughters, Kay Searcy and Teri Lehto; his children's spouses; his 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was an incredible Husband, Father, Grandpa and Uncle, a genuine friend, a hard working man and a teller of stories. He is incredibly loved and will be missed beyond measure.
