Patricia Ann Watson

Pat was born in Dixon, Illinois on August 12, 1935 to Donald and Gladys Conkrite Nolan. She had two younger brothers: Donald Nolan who passed away in 2004, and Dennis Nolan of Dixon, Illinois. She grew up attending St. Mary's grade school and graduated from Dixon High School in 1953. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church and was married there on June 30, 1956 to Jack Edwin Watson of Sterling, Illinois.

Pat began her working career at the Dixon Telephone Company while in high school, and retired as a federal employee working at the National Bureau of Standards in Boulder, Colorado.

Jack and Pat had four children, all born in Dixon. Their family moved to the Longmont, Colorado area in 1967. Upon retirement, Jack and Pat moved to their mountain dream house in Bayfield, Colorado. Pat eventually moved back to Longmont some years after Jack's passing in 2003. Over the years, Pat supported her family as room mother many times, Cub Scout leader, and Little League team mother. She also cheered at countless sporting events for her children and grandchildren. She and Jack were members of the Grange in Niwot, Colorado.

Pat is survived by her four children and their spouses: Julie and Alan Jacques of San Diego, California; Jeff and Sherri Watson of Durango, Colorado; Becky and Bart Moyers of Denver, Colorado; and Sam and Karen Watson of Greenwood Village, Colorado. Pat greatly loved her grandchildren: Annie, Paul, and Ava Watson; Alex and Katie Watson; Luke and Ana Moyers; Suzanne, Alexis, Danielle, and Sarah Jacques, and Ian Cook. She is also survived by her brother Dennis with whom she shared a special family relationship until her very last days, and two nieces: Jennifer and Mark Dallas with their children Joshua and Lauren; and Kimberly and Jamie Martens with their children Addison, Ella, and Kaylin, all of Dixon, Illinois. Also Pat is survived by her sister-in-law, Alice Nolan of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and cousins still living in Illinois. Besides her husband and parents, Pat is predeceased by her brother Donald Nolan, and her sister-in-law Linda Nolan.

Pat's remains will be brought to Dixon in the coming months and there will be a graveside gathering as she is buried beside her husband of 47 years. Our Mom has truly been the wind beneath the wings of all of her loved ones. Her loving care, acceptance, strength, and generous spirit will be greatly missed by us all.

Rather than sending flowers or donations, in order to honor Pat and her love for her family, we ask that anyone who decides to do so, please set that amount aside. Use it to celebrate with your own family in your own way of choosing, celebrating the closeness and love you have for your own families.
