Mr. Mussie Tesfay Zeratsion went to be with the Lord at the age of 38 on September 18, 2012 at St. John Hospice in Lakewood Colorado while being cared by hospice staff and Bethel Eritrean Church family.
Mussie was born on November 3rd, 1973 in Asmara Eritrea. He was the 3rd of the 5 children born to the late Tesfay Zeratsion and Abeba Habtemichael. Mussie grew up in Asmara in his warm family home with his siblings. Mussie’s father was a very educated and high profile person. Mussie and siblings were raised with discipline and love and were noticeably brilliant.
Mussie finished his high school diploma in Business and Commerce in one of the high schools in Asmara Eritrea. He scored high grades and later joined University of Asmara to pursue his undergraduate education in Business and Economics. He successfully graduated from Asmara University in June 1997.
Soon after his graduation Mussie moved to Italy in 1998 and was determined to pursue his professional career. Few months later Mussie got a job offer at a software and hardware company. Until 2009 Mussie worked in four other companies in Italy and accumulated a wealth of experience. Mussie was helping his mother and some of his siblings back home. He was a responsible person and in late 2009 he decided to move to USA.
Industrious Mussie believed in hard work and wise choices. He right away took some accounting courses in the USA to catch up with the cutting edge accounting technologies and raked some certifications. He diligently communicated and applied to reputable companies and
finally he got employed with Baxa Corporation which was later bought by a bigger corporation, Baxter. Mussie worked with Baxter Corporation until few months before his pass away. To Mussie Baxter personnel were not just colleagues but they were family. They were loving, caring and supportive of Mussie and visited him every single day by his bed until the day of his departure.
Mussie knew the Lord when he was in Asmara and have seen low and high moments in his life and faith. In his last days he came to grips that his faith is central to his life. One day he visited Bethel Eritrean Church and came back after few months. This time he met some people from the congregation and made friendship and decided he needs fellowship to grow in his faith. Being alone at the time (around mid of 2011) he started to appreciate being in a fellowship and company of people of faith. Like in other places he was loved and valued as a brother. It was not long ago he got sick of a severe form of illness which eventually ushered him into the next world. During his sickness Mussie was comforted and helped by his work colleagues and his church family. Even though Mussie had many major plans he passed away wishing if he had had served his Lord and Savior. No doubt Mussie will be missed by many, but the faithful God of the Bible will crown him with eternal life as promised from ages. Amen!!
Thank You!!
