Mary L. Manyik of Aurora, Colorado passed way Saturday morning, September 21, 2013. Mary was born to Andy and Lucy Kochis of Matheson, Colorado on December 16, 1923. She married Paul Manyik on February 18, 1942. They had three children, Raymond Paul, Judy Irene (Fosdick), and Mary Jane (Johnson). They farmed in the Ramah, Colorado area until Paul passed away September 20, 1966. She moved to Colorado Springs and worked for Sears and then became employed by the US government as a seamstress and related occupation for the Fort Carson facility. She retired in the early 1980's. She continued to live in Colorado Springs until 2002 when she moved to Heather Gardens in Aurora, Colorado. She enjoyed a wide variety of activities such as knitting, crocheting, baking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She leaves behind seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 7pm on September 26, 2013 at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, 8600 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, CO 80231 and 10am September 28, 2013 at St. Mary's Eastern Orthodox Church in Calhan, Colorado with interment at the church cemetery following the services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Project Angel Heart.
