Marion William "Bud" Duncan, 82, was born September 13, 1938, in Richardson County, Nebraska. He and his three sisters were raised in the loving embrace of a God fearing farming family that valued faith, honesty and hard work.
Bud proudly served his country in the Army from 1961-1963 active duty and continued his service from 1964-1967 in the Army Reserves. During this time, this small town Nebraska Farm Boy had found his way to Colorado and began to build a leagacy.
He married his soul mate, Linda Patrick of Hygiene, Colorado, on December 31, 1964. Three Children and four grandchildren followed in the years to come.
His career started at Colorado Beverage (later McKesson Liquors), and ended in 2000 when he retired after 24 years at Xcel Energy. His life long cherished friends from his work places is a testament to his character, integrity and big heart. Following retirement, Bud never slowed down.
Through the years, became the patriarch of the family. Everyone knew he would be there for them no matter what. He treasured his family, friends and most importantly, his faith. Unafraid of death, Bud was confident that Jesus had prepared a place for him and that one day he would call Heaven home.
That day came on December 6, 2020. His passing has left a huge void in our hearts that will not be filled this side of heaven, but we rejoice in knowing that he is with his heavenly Father and that we'll all be together someday soon!
Bud is survived by his wife and best friend of 56 years, Linda Duncan, son, Bill (Holly) Duncan, daughter, Judy (Paul) Andrighetti, daughter, Kathy Duncan, grandsons, Ryan Duncan and Riley Duncan, granddaughters, Lindsey (Jonathan) Baumann, Brittany Andrighetti and her fiancé, Michael McLean, sisters, Helen Shubert, Marilyn (Bob) Baudendistel, Karilyn (Bud) Robinson, his beloved Aunt Janice Carpenter; cousins in Nebraska and Kansas; brother-in-law, Pat (Phyllis) Patrick, sister-in-law, Leila (Larry) Spray, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many, many lifelong friends.
