of Denver, passed away July 20, 2015. Marie was born February 3, 1923 in Ogden, Kansas to Leonard L and Gertrude F. Sanders. She was the third of eight children born to the farmer and his wife. For the first nine months of Marie's life she lived with her second mother, her Aunt Florence while her mother recovered from a sickness. Through out her life Marie enjoyed bowling, camping, and gambling. She was described as being a real helper, having a strong belief in God and being a good lady with a big heart. Marie joins her husband Virgil and her parents. She will be sorely missed by her daughter, Jeanette; sons, Larry and Michael; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 28 from 5-8 pm at Olinger Hampden Mortuary in Denver. A funeral for Marie will be held on Wednesday July 29 at 11am at New Life Fellowship Church in Denver. Marie will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
