3rd try.....My dearest big brother Joe March 8th you would have been 90. Happy Heavenly Birthday! You honored your country by serving in the Army. After graduating from Howard University as a silver engineer you traveled the Country  and continued to serve. As an outstanding businessman you touched so many lives and was loved for your work ethic.  As Patriarch of our family you will truly be missed. 💔 You will always have a special place in our hearts. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎 I am so thankful to God that we were able to honored your wishes at  August 2022 family reunion by  having a formal dinner so you could wear your white dinner jacket. To Joe's Family,
Joe and I walked on treadmills next to each other for several years at the rec center, and had many conversations, so we got to know each other well.  He impressed me right away with his attitude, his character, his kindness, and his warmth as an "instant friend." I was hopeful he would make it to his 100th birthday, which was important to him, but he lived a wonderful life and had so many heartfelt stories to share.  I'm just thankful I was able to be his friend for the last several years of his life.    Knowing him enriched my life, and I'll never forget him.  What a guy!  I know he is missed, not only by me, but by so many.  Heaven's gain is our loss!

M name is Kevin Gantt and Joe was my father. Although I didn’t get to know him as the other members, we (my brother, Ken)  did get to know of him from our mom, Mabel.

My condolences go out to all of you and I am so glad to hear all of the kind words from all about my biological father.

I sure will miss that call every spring or early summer when your equipment wasn’t quite working well for you. I met you 30 years ago fixing that Green Ford pick up. I remember after the first time I fixed it you wouldn’t let anybody else work on your stuff Except  me. Chainsaws, tractors, trucks, motorhomes it was always my pleasure to help you my friend.  I’ll never forget you and the things and times we would talked about. Rest in peace my man! Your friend always!

Joseph was a generous & caring & loving man! Wilbert and I have wonderful memories of spending time with him in Denver, New Orleans & Atlanta! What a beautiful man he was! We send prayers that he Rest In Peace forever!

One of the Finest gentlemen I have ever known. The lives he touched at St. Augustine Parish were many indeed. At after Mass breakfast on Sunday morning Joe's stories were most endearing. I will never forget the story about his journey to Colorado in a V.W. Bug. BLESSINGS to Joe's family. From his friends at St. Augustine.

Joe was a wonderful neighbor to us for 19 years. He made our community a better place serving as president of our HOA for many years putting in countless hours. Joe once helped me with a burst basement pipe and was always available to help. My husband and I mowed his yard and ditch as he started to age. He took us dining at Shanahan's Steakhouse and we often shared meals together. We will never forget Joe and the impact he left on us. It will be difficult looking over at his house and not seeing him on his John Deere or chatting at our fence line about his next project. I'm thankful for the memories of this precious man. We are better people for having known him. Rest now in peace Joe.  With Fond Memories , Rick and Valorie
