Gwendolyn was born March 6, 1930 to William A. Goad and Nellie M. Fitzwater in Denver, CO. After graduating from South High School in Denver, CO she and her husband owned a successful accounting tax practice, along with being a homemaker. She met Wolcott Findlay Rice in high school and married March 10, 1951 and enjoyed a marriage of unparalleled love and laughter until her death on March 9, 2011.
Together they had 4 children, Robert (Mary Sue), John (Kathy), Cheryl Dial (Drew Sesser) and Frank along with 10 grandchildren, Adrienne, Sarah, Grace, Marie, William, Aundra, David, Hannah, Talley and Nicole.
Gwendolyn Rice is survived by her husband, Wolcott Findlay Rice, her children, Robert, John, Cheryl and Frank, her grandchildren.
A small private service will be held.
