Born to Frankie Lee Evans Sr and Lucille Hagler on November 4th 1967 in Denver Colorado. He was raised by his mother and step father Ronald Hagler in their Montbello home.
Frankie was a devout Muslim, artist, and interdisciplinary. These traits were reflected in his embrace of his faith, artwork, and love for the rainy outdoors. Frankie lived with compassion, resolve and dedication to his family, providing a foundation for them to live and grow with love and empathy.
Frankie grew up in the neighborhood of Montbello. In his youth, he loved playing outdoors with his brother, sisters and childhood friends. He loved playing football, swimming at the Montbello Rec Center, and riding his bike around the neighborhood. Occasionally, he would ride to the neighborhood of Park Hill to link up with friends there. As time passed, he developed a solid connection with the friends in Park-hill, Aurora, and Montbello, alike, growing his circle of loved ones.
Frankie’s life evolved when he became a father to his sons. He loved spending time with them and his nephews. He was a self-taught barber, and had the privilege to refine those skills on his sons and nephews, entirely at their expense. It was extremely important for him to see his boys grow up to be kings, and worked diligently to provide the tools for them to do so. Little did he know he would become a father to a beautiful baby girl, in which he worked just as hard to provide the same for her: tools and opportunities to be the greatest of Queens. His children were his everything.
However, there was room for more. He converted to Islam in 2004, providing him a foundation of clarity and good nature to become a better man. Fortune further graced him when he met Amy Robinson, who he became happily married to on August 24, 2019 in Mesa, Arizona. Frankie and Amy enjoyed their lives together with the utmost love and support, further refining him into the amazing man he was revered to be.
He is survived by his wife Amy, and children, Kierra, Jahsonte, Alius and Channing, as well as his siblings, Lonnell, Shrina, Senobia, Jerell and Tina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frankie Sr. and Lucille, his grandmothers, grandfathers, as well as his nephew Loric.
A funeral service for Frankie will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231, followed by a reception from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
