Faye Luemma Rogers Simpson

Faye Luemma Simpson, died peacefully on March 25, 2014 at home near Rock Hill, South Carolina. Faye was born March 21, 1925, in McDonald, Kansas, the daughter of Elza Rogers and Emma Pelstrom. On November 27, 1952, Faye married Elmer J. Simpson in Denver, Colorado. Together they raised three children of their own and, over twenty five years, gave a good loving start to 125 foster children. Faye never stopped caring for children and contributed to children's charities for the rest of her life. Faye was a member of Denver Baptist Temple for many years and her faith was great. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy of Catawba, SC; son James of Littleton, CO; and son Elza of Bennett, CO; also by five granddaughters, one grandson, and eight great grandchildren. Public viewing will be at Olinger Mortuary on Sunday, March 30 from 12:00-1:00 P.M. Funeral service for friends and family will be held at Olinger Hampden Mortuary on Monday, March 31 @ 2:00 P.M., followed by internment in Fairmount Cemetery.
