Evelyn Penelope West

October 19, 1925 – November 17, 2022

Evelyn P. West, 97, of Denver, Colorado passed away on November 17, 2022 in Denver. Evelyn was born in Telluride, Colorado, the daughter of Swan Albin Swanson and Hildur Malvina (Anderson) Swanson. She was raised in Telluride, Colorado, and helped her family every summer with their gold mining endeavors, high in the pristine mountains. As a family, they later travelled to Denver where she made many friends and completed high school. Evelyn married Robert Dale West, and together they raised a family of five boys.

Evelyn lived a life of strong faith and service to her family and her church. She gave freely and helped many. She loved her family, and was respected and loved in return. She worked for many years for an accounting firm after her sons graduated high school. She enjoyed a lengthy retirement, spending time with family, contributing to her church, travelling, and helping others.

She is survived by four sons, beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and many other precious family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert D. West, and her son Richard A. West.

Memorial services will be held at Encounter Church, 6825 S. Galena St., Centennial, CO 80112.
